POLARIZED POLYCARBONATE
These lenses have a Polarized film inbedded within the polycarbonate lens
The molecules of this film have been oriented in such a way to cut off the rays reverberated by shining surfaces.
Light travels in waves. Waves from the sun are multi-directional, this is called diffused light. When light is reflected off a flat surface, such as water or road, it travels on only one plane i.e. horizontally (otherwise known as glare). Polarized lenses are constructed to only allow vertically flowing waves, this selection process is a filtering of horizontally polarized light to reduce or eliminate glare. The extent to which glare is eliminated is determined by the polarizing efficiency.
Highly recommended for fishing, sailing, Ski-ing, driving. They eliminate so much glare that the visibility becomes clear, hence a better definition of the landcape helping to prevent accidents.
